Service Schedule
Contrary to what some Christians may think, worship is not something that we do for God, but rather is about what God does for us. For this reason we use the term “Divine Service”, indicating that in the worship service God is giving us His gifts. Worship is the time that we receive Christ’s forgiveness through the spoken Word and sacraments. For this reason worship is viewed reverentially, prayerfully, and joyfully. The order of service (Liturgy) follows the same format that Christians have used throughout their history. In this way we are connected to the church throughout the ages.
Lenten Services – Wednesdays during Lent – 4:30 and 7:15. Soup Suppers will be served at 5:30.
Sunday Divine Service, 8:00 and 10:45 a.m.
Please join us for worship on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. The same liturgy is used at both services and Holy Communion is celebrated at both services every week. You may also join us for coffee between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. followed by our Sunday Education Hour (classes for adults and children) from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
We welcome children at our service. If you prefer, there is childcare for four-years-old and younger.
Wednesday Matins Service, 8:45 a.m.
Every Wednesday morning God’s people gather to pray the Order of Matins. This is followed by a bible study led by our pastor.
Other Services
During the year we also observe midweek Vespers/Evening Prayer services during the seasons of Advent and Lent, along with other festival observances for Christmas, Holy Week, Easter and other feast days. Please see The Greensheet for services in the coming week or call the church office at 970-226-4721.
